Global Service Design Jam at IBM

Global Service Design Jam at IBM

This event was different from many of the other 48 hour competitions as it was centered around Service Design principles.

Traditional entrepreneur/hack events start with a problem/solution scenario with a theme. Here the theme was really broad and left the scope wide open for teams to explore many different ideas which was tough. But the goal was to learn about the different processes to help us understand and deliver better solutions.

Our team went through a series of different service design techniques and we used a number of tools to help identify a common interest. (This was much more difficult a process than I had imagined) But definitely a great learning opportunity and I'm sure it will prove to be extremely useful in the future.

Eventually we settled on the idea to connect new people through the gamification of fun experiences with the option of some in-built conversation starters.

I was excited to reveal the first t-shirt logo prototype with the TinyHackerHouse Logo.
