Makerfaire - The Maker Movement

Since 2010 My team and I have produced and co-organized 5 minimakerfaires throughout the years. We plan to invite our community to produce a Makerfaire event each year to showcase our projects.

At our first Makerfaire, we held a 'hands-on' timed competition for boys and girls to build a computer at our booth. It was an opportunity for them to get comfortable understanding the components used and learning about the history of computing.

We were delighted to find the local newspaper was creating awareness about our organization and community activities.

At our second Makerfaire event, we decided to do 2 fun activities:

One was a build a paper plane workshop.

The other was a build a flying car out of lego competition, both were a success.
